Found

Dog 1 is home, safe and sound. Her paws are all torn up and her nails are down to the quick from running all day on hot cement and asphalt. But she will be okay. She drank about a gallon of water when she got home, and wolfed some food, and is now flopped out on whatever flat surface she finds. Also, if you feel so inclined, instead of gifts for Christmas this year, we would prefer donations to our "Get a Fence the Stupid Dogs Can't Jump" fund. You are under no obligation to do this, or even get us gifts at all though you know you want to. . . . but we thought we would ask. Thank you.

  1. I am so glad you found her! That has got to be the most sickening, stressful feeling when you lose a pet. The constant worrying about their well-being and if you'll ever see them alive again. Having awful flashes of a wayward car or some thief trying to make a quick buck. The worst feeling is when it finally sinks in that in case of a nuclear holocaust, that's one less source of food for you to eat. Hey 1,321,851,888 (and counting) Chinese people can't be wrong!

  2. I'm glad your sweetie is safe. It's so funny to me how when dogs get out they just start marching in a direction as if they know exactly where they're going and they want to get there fast. Hopefully she learned her lesson. A new fence can't hurt, though. ;)

I will be watching, and just like Santa Claus, if you are naughty, I will hunt you down and feed you to my reindeer (I keep them in my shed). I reserve the right to delete any and all comment that make my feelgoods feel bad.
