Ummmm. . . .there WAS something specific I wanted to write about, but damned if I can remember what that was. So, instead, I will entertain you with my thoughts on. . . . .
Bras.
Yeah, bras. They suck. I haven't had a good bra ever, and I haven't had one that has fit since I got married and gained 50 pounds. Some part of my brain that doesn't use common sense told me the whole time that my boobs hadn't gotten any bigger, just my butt, thighs, calves, arms, waist, and hips. But not my boobs. So I assumed until just a short while ago, that I was still a B. A few months ago, I decided that it was time to treat myself to a new bra, one that was a little nicer than the ones I had. I hadn't bought any since before I was married (one was from high school), so it must be time, right? So out I went, and bought a bra, without trying it on (ick!).
It didn't fit.
My boobs were hanging out of every side a bra has. So I figured, I couldn't have gotten that much bigger, and so (instead of getting measured), I bought 2 C cups.
STILL TOO SMALL.
But I kept wearing them, thinking that maybe it was just the cheap-o Walmart bras I got. The girl half of The Army Friends even bought me a really cute bra, and when she asked me what size I was, I told her C.
That's when I realized I was fooling myself. The bra, while extremely cute, (and gives me great cleavage), is also boob-spillover city. So, I finally had The Man measure me (he greatly enjoyed that), and it turns out that I'm a D. A D for crying out loud! I dreamed of being so big when I was in 7th, 8th, 9th, etc. grades and all my friends had nice racks. I never, ever thought I would achieve that. I was teased for years because of how flat I was (and back when I was a "bad" girl, I even had a guy tell me that he didn't date girls who's bras had less than 3 hooks, and preferred 5, so I was out since my bra had one. What a winner). So I resigned myself to being tiny all my life, and was at least happy I eventually fit into a B.
*sigh*
Those were the days. At least I got to wear cute/sexy bras. Now, I can't find a bra to save my life. If it fits in the cup, it cuts into my sides, if it fits on the sides, the cup is too small, and if I get one of those "full figured" bras, every thing fits except the top of the cup is baggy. And it looks like I wearing armor. So what's a girl to do? I can't afford 50+ dollars to get a bra in my size. And even if I could, they are all hideous! GAH!
Yes, yes, I know that if I just lost 10 pounds or so, I would probably be able to find a good, sexy/cute bra, easily. But The Man would be very, very sad.
And truthfully, so would I.
A small voice of truth and calmness in the storm of thousands. . . .Okay, not really. I'll just be adding to the whole mess.

Friends are more than a TV show
Let me just say, epiphany's are great. Heavenly Father works in the weirdest and most unexpected ways. An unexpected question from a friend led me to this one. I'm not going to go into what I discovered, it's too personal for posting here. But, I'm content, and learning how to be okay with that. It's brought me greater peace than I could have known.
The best of the best friends has come home! The Childhood Friend found me on MySpace and wrote me. It was so unexpected. I thought for sure that I would never see or speak to her again after the last time we split ways. I have missed her more than I knew and I'm so glad to have her back in my life. Too bad she doesn't live close. It would be so great to see her. She pointed out in her last e-mail that she told me that she "never had a better friend to enjoy food with." Everyone needs a friend that they can eat with! It was great eating with her. Though I could eat anything at the time and not gain an ounce. Not so much anymore. But hey, that comes with getting older. Everyone needs a friend they can eat with, without worrying about judgement on what or how much they are eating. Well, girls do anyway. I don't think I've had that since. And, for me anyway, if you can eat with someone with out fear of being judged, you can trust them to not judge you in other ways. Food has so much weight in our society.
And speaking of weight gain, how can you not love a man that says, while you are crying into your pillow for gaining 50 pounds since being married, that he likes the way you look now so much more than he did when you got married. I know I can't. And he likes how I look in my bikinis. Yeah, he's a keeper.

Yay for Pictures!
Sick, Man, Sick!
Oh great, now I have bronchitis! And The Man has a sinus infection. And I was thisclose to being done with this stupid cold. But noooooo, I had to have sex, wonderful, beautiful sex, and give my cold to The Man, and get worse myself. We went to the doctor yesterday, at an urgent care place close to our house. The place was empty of patients, which was nice because we were seen right away. And the doctor was nice too. Which is always a bonus. Anyway, we have the same thing, just that The Man's is in his ear and nose, and mine is in my chest, with some in my ear. So now we are on antibiotics and a nasty, nasty cough syrup that sends The Man into convulsions everytime he has to take it. Which is 4 times a day. Same with the antibiotics. FUN TIMES FOR ALL!!!! I'll tell you more someday, when I'm not completly miserable with achiness and stuffiness and coughiness and can actually feel my fingers enough to type.

Ah Family. . . .
You know I love my family, but it doesn't mean I have to be seen with them in broad daylight.
